The hotel has very bad ventilation in the rooms with fine and thoughtful details for the customer's comfort. Although a bit dirty and old, the rooms had little natural light and were affected by kitchen noise and dripping air conditioners. I would ask for one at the front next time.

The service, despite staff appearing to understand little English, was very helpful and efficiently resolved a laundry issue. I even met Julian, a frequenter in the area, offering great service. Room service, dry cleaning, housekeeping, laundry, and a welcome drink were available.

The location is very good and close to the Mysore Palace, offering complete value for money. It's ideal for visiting the palace and other tourist attractions, despite some visible washing around. The atmosphere is nice in this southern Indian location catering to westerners since 1982.

However, the service varied from inflexible receptionists to pushy restaurant staff. The location is excellent, near Mysore Palace and Fort, but can be tricky to find initially. The dining experience, though not included, was surprisingly exceptional with Chinese food being a highlight.
